Why did it take so long?

I've been taking surveys for many years now, and it is only on recent years that I realised that if you contact customer service on a site about an issue, and they fob you off with lies that you just have to delete the e-mail, put the kettle on and move on. Never once had replying led to anything productive. Sites that respond in such ways will be well aware of their issues, but choose to operate this way.

How long did it take you to realise this? I really hope you were all quicker than me! :-D

Hahaha! There are a couple of survey sites that have been alright. HeyPiggy tend to credit me anyway, and if I go through Branded's 'report survey' system, that usually works too. Same for Attapoll and Valued Opinions.

Otherwise I don't bother! More often than not, it's a waste of time!

YouGov shorted me 250 points 2 years ago and I emailed them about it.  Still waiting.  For a response.  And for points.

I realize this may be hard to believe but on those occasions when I contacted LifePoints support and started a trouble ticket, it went straight to zendesk and I always received a response within a few days and resolution as well.

That's good to hear. It's always good when sites work as they should do!

I'm left to wonder if last night's lunar eclipse (I was fortunate enough to see the last bit of it....such a cool thing to witness!) is making some of the sites think that not everything is under their control and maybe they need to treat us better.  :)  Such is my wishful thinking.

That would explain why it's not changing here. Eclipses are very localised!
